Does my countertop need sealing?
Many granite and marble surfaces benefit from an appropriate sealer, but the need depends on the stone and its condition. Choose your material and area in the form. If you’re unsure, a specialist can help confirm the right treatment.
Does sealing make stone stain-proof?
Sealing helps suitable stone resist staining; it does not make it stain-proof. Wipe spills promptly and follow your technician’s care instructions. The five-year warranty covers clear workmanship defects, not a promise that the surface will never need resealing.
Will sealing remove existing marks or repair damage?
Sealing is for surface protection. Existing chips, cracks, stains or etched areas may need treatment first. Choose Repair for localised damage or restoration for a worn finish; the form lets you change the service.
Should quartz countertops be sealed?
Engineered quartz generally does not need sealing. If you choose quartz or are unsure of the material, we route your enquiry to a specialist before offering a treatment or asking for payment.
What does the five-year warranty cover?

How do payment and cancellation work?
Pay in full to save 20% on the service price, or pay a 50% deposit and the balance after the work. HST and the total are shown before payment. Cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your arrival window for a full refund or free reschedule. Within 24 hours, one free reschedule within 30 days is available; otherwise a 10% charge on the amount paid applies, including no-shows. If SurfaceSmith cancels, you receive a full refund.
