Is restoration the same as refinishing?
Here, restoration and refinishing mean treating the existing stone surface to renew its finish. Our online options cover suitable granite and marble with an existing polished or honed finish. A different finish or another material needs a specialist quote.
What if I only have one scratch, stain or water mark?
A localised problem may suit a targeted repair. Use Change service in the form to choose Repair, then select the affected area. If a larger surface is dull or worn, the restoration path helps us scope the whole area.
Can I get a fixed restoration price online?
Yes, for supported surfaces and a clearly defined area and finish. Enter your postal code and answer a few questions, then enter your details to see your scoped price. You can add optional photos after seeing the price.
Do you refinish quartz or change a polished finish to matte?
These need an assessment before pricing. Choose your actual material or the different-finish option. A specialist will contact you within 15 minutes, 24/7, to discuss what is suitable for your countertop.
What does the five-year warranty cover?
Clear defects in our workmanship are covered for five years. Contact SurfaceSmith and we’ll assess and correct covered workmanship defects.
How do payment and cancellation work?
Pay in full to save 20% on the service price, or pay a 50% deposit and the balance after the work. HST and the total are shown before payment. Cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your arrival window for a full refund or free reschedule. Within 24 hours, one free reschedule within 30 days is available; otherwise a 10% charge on the amount paid applies, including no-shows. If SurfaceSmith cancels, you receive a full refund.
